Today we will teach you how you can take manufacturer coupons using QuickBooks POS. A manufacturer coupon would be some random coupon that is in a publication, magazine, newspaper, or some sort of handout. The manufacturer puts out the se coupons for their specific products.
Let’s begin:
- On your “Inventory” menu select “Price Manager”.
- Select “Set up Coupon”.

Let’s set up our coupon. For example, we have a coupon on a magazine.
- Fill in the Discount that is stated on the coupon and choose “$ off” on the drop down, scan the Barcode, then mark the “Coupon expires on” if it has an expiration date. Then select “Next”.

- Select “Next”.

- Choose “Custom” then select “Next”.

- Choose the item here on which the discount will take affects. Then select “Next”. (for example, Ice Cream Cone Pillow)

- Enter your discount name then select “Finish”.

Now you’ve set up your Coupon, then somebody walks in to your store and present his manufacturer coupon in a magazine.
- Go to “Make a Sale”.
- Choose “Ice Cream Cone Pillow”.

- Scan the coupon code on the magazine.
- Then there you have it, it will already show to your item details the manufacturer coupon discount that your customer presents to your store.
