I need help with a Quickbooks POS V4 installation to another computer. Although I install as a server, when I run the program, it acts like a workstation and is looking for the server. It won’t start without first finding the server.
Hi Paul,
Unfortunately, POS v4 is so old, I don’t think I would feel like it is trustworthy to run on today’s network and operating system environments. That version came out at least 15-20 years ago, and it may not run correctly on today’s computers and networks. Version 4.0 was released before Intuit re-programmed the entire POS in a completely different development language.
