QuickBooks POS: Edit Inventory Variation

 

Today we are going to edit inventory variation.

Let’s begin:

1. On your Homepage, go to “Item List”.
2. On your Item list screen, let’s take “Leather Shoe” as an example. Select “Edit”.
3. On your Edit item screen, look at Basic Info section then select “Style”.
   
4. Edit Style screen will appear.
   
   1. Select “Click to add” if you want to add sizes. (for example, you want to add size 12 and 14)
   2. Select “Click to add” if you wan to add additional color of the shoe. (for example, purple)
5. You’ll notice we have these white blanks that are totally empty.
   
   1. If we want point of sale to actually create the item itself, we are going to fill in these blanks with zeros.
   2. We haven’t received them yet but we want to tell point of sale that there are zero in stock.
   3. If there are no zeros in every blank square it’s not actually going to create the items.
      
   4. After you put zero in the blanks, select “Save”.
6. After you click save, the variation of the Leather Shoe you created will now appear at the bottom of your Item list.
   

Now, if we will receive the Leather shoe in Inventory.

1. Go to “Receiving Voucher”.
2. On your Voucher screen, search for the Leather Shoe color and size you want to receive in your inventory.
3. There you have it you can go ahead and receive those in stock.
